The scope and nature of teacher training programs in the Greater Washington, D.C. area are examined in this survey. The study, oriented toward statistical analysis, focuses on: (1) a historical review of surveys of teacher preparation, (2) formulation and distribution of questionnaires, (3) analysis of questionnaires, (4) a comparative analysis of the survey and significant findings, and (5) conclusions and recommendations.
