Summarized are the proceedings of the conference (discussions, agenda, invitees), held to examine the present state of the testing and evaluation of blind and visually impaired persons. Not only tests and methods were covered, but also how evaluation procedures fit into educational and rehabilitation procedures, ethical considerations, and utilization of information obtained. Included are papers and the discussant comments on the following topics: test construction or adaption for use with the blind, personality dynamics and vocational success of blind adults, the diagnostic interview, research on perceived pleasantness - a stimulus variable in auditory projective testing, psychological factors in the evaluation of sensory aids, standard personality tests, intelligence testing of blind children, assessment of nontestable blind children, brain waves and blindness, and evaluation of the minimal brain damage syndrome in blind children.
