The book of readings is intended for persons involved in the management of the family of the mentally retarded, regardless of their professional field or orientation. The term Management of the Family is used to mean the entry of individuals or organizations, in an official or sanctioned capacity, into the family's life in order to benefit the family, the retardate, or the community.
