NLSMA Reports, No. 6, Description and Statistical Properties of Z-Population Scales.
Wilson, James W., Ed.; And Others
This volume contains descriptions and statistical properties of test scales used with grade 10 through grade 12 students in the National Longitudinal Study of Mathematical Abilities (NLSMA). Each scale is designed to measure a specified content or psychological area chosen as a dependent variable for the study. The scales are briefly identified and described, example items are given, and statistical information is listed for the scale and items from a 5 percent stratified random sample of the total NLSMA Z-Population. Information is included for locating the complete reproduction of each item in "NLSMA Reports No. 3." The reader should also refer to "NLSMA Reports No. 7" for background information on the development of the mathematical scales. (JH)
