In 1968-69 the American Institute for Research in the Behavioral Sciences, under contract to the United States Office of Education, reviewed compensatory education projects across the country. A total of thirty-one were identified as among the most successful. By summarizing each of these 31 projects briefly, this publication enables readers to select those booklets which cover the projects they are most interested in studying in detail. The full list of booklets, with the identifying numbers through which they can be ordered from the United States Government Printing Office, is on the front inside cover of the booklet. Projects at the preschool, elementary, elementary and secondary, and secondary levels are included. (Author/KJ)
