Madison Public Schools, WI.
Each of these three booklets is to be used in conjunction with a field trip in the Madison, Wisconsin area, and to serve as a guide for presenting the filmstrips for each excursion. "Madison School Forests" emphasizes plant succession in a natural oak community. "Three Layers of Green in the Madison School Forest" emphasizes interrelationships between plants and animals of the forest. The main text of these two booklets provides the reader with a detailed explanation of the ecology of southern Wisconsin. "Cherokee Marsh - A Wetland to Cherish" includes maps and a brief list of facts about the surface waters of Dane County. Each document has a list of objectives, suggested use of materials, and photographs and script for filmstrips. This work was prepared under an ESEA Title III contract. (PR)
