Application of Pupil Assesment Information: For the Special Education Teacher.
Gearheart, Bill R.; Willenberg, Ernest P.
Because classroom teachers are increasingly expected to be knowledgeable in the area of student evaluation, the book is designed to describe the types, purposes, and appropriateness of various tests and evaluative techniques, and to explore the role a classroom teacher should play in this area. The first part of the book, an intoduction to testing, reviews basic nomenclature used in evaluation, and discusses uses of specific standardized tests, evaluative measurements, and teacher constructed tests. The second part, dealing with the special education teacher and test information, treats methods and resources available to the teacher, the application of test information, and presents four case studies and some sample record forms. Appended is a list of selected test publishers. (KW)
