Appendixes L-P. Vol. II, A Plan for Managing the Development, Implementation and Operation of a Model Elementary Teacher Education Program.

Five appendixes make up this part of the final report on the elementary teacher education program. Appendix L is a summary chart of the orientation meetings, giving dates, locations, and participants. Appendix M is a listing of the seven school districts actively participating in the OCE coalition, with a brief description of their essential characteristics. Appendix N is a description of Teaching Research, which was established in 1960 as the research arm of the Oregon State System of Higher Education. It is located on the campus of Oregon College of Education, employs approximately 65 professional staff, and has become a highly sophisticated research and development agency, with diverse interests and capabilities. A listing of 27 current projects is included. Appendix O contains letters from five consortium institutions in support of state-wide implementation of the program. Appendix P gives detailed implementation schedules for program mechanisms over a period of 5 years. The mechanisms involved are instructional objectives, instructional operations, information management, data generation, cost accounting, staff selection and development, policy creation and adoption, program execution, adaptation, and accommodation.
