This report presents abstracts of studies in progress and of research completed from 1957 through 1969. Included in the former are studies of merit scholars, talented Negro students, and participants in the national talent search. Completed studies are grouped under these major headings: characteristics of able students, progress of scholars, the Merit Program, scholarships and the conservation of talent; prediction of performance, characteristics of colleges, college effects, career choice, twin studies, assessment methods, and research methods.
