Artifacts from Mexico are described and illustrated (1) to assist the Mexican American child in retaining pride in his social, historical, and cultural past and (2) to promote understanding by teachers and students of the cultural background of the Mexican American. The descriptions relate both the purposes for which the objects were created and the importance of the objects to the life styles of the Mexican people.
