Information and ideas about sex education found by reviewing pertinent literature are presented in outline form. Areas examined include: (1) historical background and attitudes toward sex education; (2) arguments for teaching sex education and suggestions for a curriculum; (3) the role of adults in the teaching; (4) who should teach in the community and in the school; (5) opposition to sex education; (6) aims, objectives, purpose; (7) evaluation; (8) organizations for and against sex education; (9) implementation of such a program; (10) controversial issues; and (11) sources of information.
