Child Study and Consultation Services in the Hawaii State Department of Education: A Summary and Progress Report.

The role of assessment teams in establishing a psychoeducational clinic in Hawaii is reviewed, along with the need for child study and consultation services. The objectives of such services are listed and the program is explained. Role descriptions of the multidisciplinary team are provided, including the roles of the team coordinator, visiting teacher (social worker), psychological examiner, diagnostic teacher, and speech, hearing, and language specialist.
