This inventory contains the results of a survey of all Federal programs for fiscal years 1966, 1967, and 1968 that included educational activities aimed at improving international understanding and cooperation. A total of 159 such programs were reported by 31 responding Federal agencies. This inventory contains the following information for each program: Legislative authority, description of the program, amount and source of funding, principal recipient of assistance, program location, method of administration, pertinent statistical information, organizational location of the program within its agency, and program purpose. The appendix includes a summary of legislative authorities; a chart comparing the program's principal recipients, location, and purpose; and the guideline used for the collection and submission of data for the inventory.
