This research program has been concerned with three major subprojects: identifying concepts and behaviors which critically affect intercultural relations; developing principles and methods for programed self-instructional cultural training to help Americans adjust to, and work more effectively in, foreign cultures, or with persons from different cultures; and laboratory and field studies to evaluate the effectiveness of these programs under different leadership and organizational structures.
