La Raza; A Guide to the Heritage of Mexican Americans.
Flynn, John
Designed primarily for use with eleventh- and twelfth-grade students, this course outline is intended to guide teachers and students in planning a course in Mexican American history and culture. The guide begins with the early history of Mexico and concludes with a contemporary history of Mexican Americans in the southwestern United States. Each page of the document is divided into three sections: (1) a historic outline, (2) suggested inquiries and activities to be used by the teacher in stimulating student discussion and research, and (3) related reference materials such as books, maps, and filmstrips. A bibliography containing recommended books, audiovisual materials, and teachers' reference materials is appended. (TL)
