This final report explains the purpose of the Ohio Occupational Research and Development Coordinating Unit and its activities and accomplishments from its inception July 1, 1965, to August 31, 1969. The three specific objectives of the Ohio Unit are: (1) to gather data concerning employment, emerging occupational trends and future job projections, (2) to identify issues and problems relating to the nature and place of vocational education, and (3) to stimulate and encourage, coordinate, facilitate, and disseminate information concerning occupational education research and development activities. Attention is given to each area of activity as it contributes to the extension and improvement of vocational education in Ohio. Major activities are considered under the headings of (1) Organization and Staff, (2) Stimulating Research, (3) Facilitating Research, (4) Disseminating Research, (5) Coordinating Research, and (6) Developing Vocational Education Programs. The Ohio Unit was involved in numerous minor activities and also cooperated with other agencies in contributing to the overall activities of vocational education.
