AERA Research Training Program 1969. Final Report.

This report describes and evaluates a training program for educational researchers conducted prior to and following the 1969 annual meeting of the American Educational Research Association. The report's description of each of the program's 12 specific training sessions, which served a total of 542 educational researchers, includes the following elements: (1) Session title and staff, (2) general description, (3) objectives, (4) schedule, (5) participant characteristics, (6) instructional and evaluation materials, and (7) evaluation by staff and participants. Training sessions described cover the relationship of the following topics to educational research: (1) Instructional product (materials) development, (2) nonparametric methods and associated post hoc procedures, (3) the computer and natural language, (4) methods for improving children's learning proficiency, (5) systems approach in counseling and counselor education, (6) multivariate design and analysis, (7) anthropological methods, (8) sample free test calibration and person measurement, (9) survey research, (10) multiple group discriminant strategy, (11) Baysian statistical analysis, and (12) design and analysis of comparative experiments.
