This book analyzes the philosophical writings of several scientists: Henry Margenau, Philipp Frank, Percy Bridgman, J. H. Woodger, Morton Bechner, and the report of a symposium on the concepts of biology. A view of the nature of the physical and biological sciences is synthesized which incorporates both inductive and deductive elements.
