The Fallacy of Accessibility.
Smith, W. Flint; Hocking, Elton
National Association of Language Laboratory Directors Newsletter, v3 n3 p10-13 Mar 1969
Some of the advantages and disadvantages of the electronic classroom are described, with particular reference to the scheduling of equipment use. An experiment with first-year language students in high school, some of whom used the electronic classroom, and some, a combination of conventional classroom and language laboratory, is discussed in terms of the time spent in machine-guided practice. The question of the ease of access to an electronic classroom's automatically aiding the language learning process is raised. For related documents see FL 001 353 and FL 001 379. (AF)
