This survey is the eighth in a series designed to give basic salary information on engineering graduates in the United States. Its purpose is to show the present level of engineering salaries and, in addition, to indicate their trend over the past 15 years. Data were collected by questionnaire from 979 organizations, representing 191,042 engineering graduates. Provided is detailed information intended for analysis by salary administrators and others concerned with scales of compensation. Data are broken down into considerable detail by degree level, supervisory status, geographical location, and size of organization. Most of the material in this report is published for the first time and does not appear in "Professional Income of Engineers" also compiled by the Engineering Manpower Commission. (RS)
