Exploring the Arts; Handbook for Trade Union Program Planners.
Wertheimer, Barbara M.
This handbook grew out of an experimental program called Labor Explores the Arts, begun in the fall of 1966 by the Metropolitan Center of the New York State School of Industrial and Labor Relations, together with several New York City unions. It was planned to be of use to training staff who want to set up such a course in their own unions. It includes information on available resources and also suggestions on planning courses and field trips, leading discussions to prepare groups for these visits, and on where to go for additional information. Also there is a selected list of readable and available books and periodicals on the arts and about New York City. (author/se)
