To aid in teaching English to adults recently arrived in the United States, a teachers' guide has been prepared, giving extensive sentence and word patterns dealing with common activities the immigrant is likely to face in his daily life. These dialogues are designed to be used in conjunction with tapes, to provide directed oral repetition and drill for accelerated English speaking development, through the simultaneous learning of both structure and intonation patterns.
