SEVERAL INFLUENTIAL SOURCES FOR THE GUIDE ARE LISTED, INCLUDING (1) PROFESSIONAL LITERATURE ON FLES, (2) STATEMENTS PUBLISHED BY STATE DEPARTMENTS OF EDUCATION AND THE UNITED STATES OFFICE OF EDUCATION, (3) OBSERVATION OF FLES CLASSES, AND (4) DISCUSSIONS WITH FLES TEACHERS AND LOCAL SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS.
