ACTIVITIES INVOLVING STATIC ELECTRICITY SERVE TO INTRODUCE THE ELECTRICAL NATURE OF THE ATOM AND INCLUDE EXPERIENCES INVOLVING (1) CONDUCTORS, RESISTORS, AND INSULATORS, (2) THE ELECTROSCOPE, (3) INDUCED CHARGE, AND (4) ELECTRICAL FIELDS. ELEMENTARY EXPERIMENTS INVOLVING CURRENT ELECTRICITY INVOLVE (1) A SIMPLE VOLTAIC CELL, (2) ELECTROLYSIS, (3) RESISTANCE CIRCUITS, (4) OHM'S LAW, AND (5) SERIES AND PARALLEL CIRCUITS.
