MAJOR SECTIONS OF THE BOOK DEAL WITH (1) CRITERIA FOR THE IDENTIFICATION OF SCIENTIFIC TALENT (2) INTELLECTUAL, PERSONALITY, AND MOTIVATIONAL CHARACTERISTICS OF CREATIVE INDIVIDUALS (3) THE EFFECT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS ON CREATIVITY AND (4) THE THEORETICAL ANALYSIS OF THE CREATIVE PROCESS. A CONCLUDING SECTION IS DEVOTED TO THE IDENTIFICATION OF OUTSTANDING PROBLEMS AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR POSSIBLE APPROACHES TO RESEARCH LEADING TO THEIR SOLUTION.
