AN INTERIM REPORT OF THE PROGRESS OF THE INTERDISCIPLINARY MULTI-FACET READING PROGRAM IN GROVE CITY, OHIO, IS PRESENTED. THE EVALUATIVE PROCEDURES AND TENTATIVE CONCLUSIONS ARE DISCUSSED. SOME OF THE PURPOSES OF THE PROJECT ARE TO DEVELOP DISCRIMINATING READERS, TO PROVIDE A GREATER QUANTITY AND VARIETY OF MATERIALS FOR PUPILS IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS, TO INCREASE SPECIAL SERVICES, AND TO DEVELOP EFFECTIVE HOME-SCHOOL-COMMUNITY RELATIONS. OBJECTIVE AND SUBJECTIVE EVALUATION TECHNIQUES ARE DESCRIBED.
