THIS IS THE FIRST OF A SERIES DESIGNED TO PROVIDE AID TO STATES IN ORGANIZING AND OPERATING PROGRAMS UNDER TITLE VIII OF THE NATIONAL DEFENSE EDUCATION ACT, PUBLIC LAW 85-864. IT FURNISHES--(1) GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT A TECHNOLOGY OR BROAD FIELD OF WORK, (2) COMPOSITE JOB DESCRIPTIONS OF REPRESENTATIVE OCCUPATIONS IN THAT FIELD OF WORK, (3) A METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN JOBS IN ORDER TO ESTABLISH A CLUSTER OR GROUP OF RELATED JOBS, AND (4) A METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE COURSES OF STUDY REQUIRED TO PREPARE STUDENTS FOR A CLUSTER OR GROUP OF CLOSELY RELATED OCCUPATIONS, OR A SPECIFIC OCCUPATION WITHIN A GROUP.
