REGENTS' STUDY ON COMMUNITY JUNIOR COLLEGES IN GEORGIA, SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS.
DOWNS, HARRY S.
STUDY OF POPULATION TRENDS, PROJECTIONS OF HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES AND COLLEGE ENROLLMENTS, AND LOCATION OF EXISTING FACILITIES INDICATE A HIGH PRIORITY NEED FOR JUNIOR COLLEGE EDUCATION IN THE BIBB-HOUSTON COUNTY AREA, THE WEST METROPOLITAN ATLANTA AREA, AND THE SOUTH METROPOLITAN ATLANTA AREA. AREAS OF POTENTIAL THOUGH NOT CURRENTLY OF HIGH PRIORITY ARE THE FLOYD, SPAULDING, AND THOMAS COUNTY AREAS. CONSIDERATION OF ESTABLISHING JUNIOR COLLEGES IN OTHER AREAS OF THE STATE IS NOT PRESENTLY RECOMMENDED. STATISTICAL DATA ARE PRESENTED IN SUPPORT OF THE RECOMMENDATIONS. (WO)
