A SERIES OF 40 FILMS WAS DEVELOPED FOR COLLEGE-LEVEL INSTRUCTION IN FOUR ASPECTS OF COMMUNICATION THEORY AND THE EDUCATIONAL MEDIA. THE TOPICS COVERED ARE--(1) THE INFORMATION EXPLOSION, (2) PROCESS OF COMMUNICATION, (3) PERCEPTION AND COMMUNICATION, AND (4) THE TEACHER AND TECHNOLOGY. THIS REPORT DESCRIBED THE CONCEPTS USED IN THE PRODUCTION OF THE FILM SERIES, SUGGESTED PATTERNS FOR USE OF THE SERIES, AND PROVIDED A BACKGROUND MONOGRAPH ON COMMUNICATION THEORY.
