Using ERIC SearchAdvanced SearchUse the Advanced Search function to build more targeted searches: - Use the drop-down list to select the appropriate ERIC database field(s) for searching, and enter your search criteria in the text box. You can search Keywords, or specify one or more fields:
The function combines rows of search criteria using the Boolean operators AND, OR, or NOT as a single string. Preference is given to ANDed terms, regardless of location in the string. For example: 
actually searches (algebra AND geometry) OR math OR fractals. You can also use Boolean operators and parentheses within a text box to build more precise searches. For example: 
directs the search to combine the terms differently, i.e., (math OR algebra) AND (geometry OR fractals). - The search screen displays three rows, but you can click on "Add Another Row" to build a more complex search.
